MCM consists of over 320 employees. Its mission is to provide intellectual leadership and expertise for the IMF's work on central banking, capital markets and financial stability assessment, in the context of the IMF's overall surveillance activities, engagement with global and regional regulatory bodies, as well as capacity building support to the IMF’s membership.
