Big Data Architect

Responsibilities Responsible for overall architecture for our back end system Works closely with the Director of Big Data in helping to design, develop, test and maintain back end systems Provide unit tests for these software applications Participate in multi-disciplinary projects Work with analysts creating cutting edge data mining algorithms Contribute to our team’s growing set of development platforms, tools, and processes Qualifications Experience with enterprise level data architecture Prior experience in Hadoop / MapReduce / Cascading / Hive / HDFS Strong Java skills Experience with large database interactions (Postgres is desired) Experience with highly scalable systems Ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly Excellent problem-solving abilities Ability to work both indep…
